Sometimes living life in a big family does feel like a three-ring circus, but that's my life, and, all-in-all, I LOVE IT!

Same Old Same Old

That was another saying my Mom used to say, if you asked her what was new, she'd say, "Nothing new, just the same old same old."

Well, there's nothing new going on here either, just the same old same old, but I'm not complaining.  I like the same old same old.

This past weekend Ray started cleaning out the back room (it becomes a storage room over the Winter), and he made a good dent in it.  It was cold though, so he had to work with a jacket on, and he was kind enough to tell me that I didn't have to help.  This weekend I'll be going into Manhattan with my friend Barbara for St. Patrick's Day on Saturday, and then Sunday is Ray's Birthday, so I don't think much cleaning out will be getting done, but hopefully, the following weekend will be warm enough for us both to finish the job Ray started.  I plan on bagging and boxing lots of things and doing a big purge from that room.

Other than that, we haven't been up to much lately.
I've been keeping myself occupied with this ~

Diane stopped by with this interesting little case:

And inside was this:

Now, I'm not very good at jigsaw puzzles, it takes me forever to finish them, but once I get started, it's like an addiction.  I stayed up late many nights last week working on this:

It was near impossible!  My eyesight is bad, so I had to resort to this for help:

Having a magnifying glass made all the difference!

The kids visited over the weekend and we had fun with our little "Irish" ones!  (They are actually all more Swedish, and Italian, and Puerto Rican, and Cuban, and there is a bit of German thrown in there too, but I like to remind everyone that they have a few drops of Irish in them too!):

Baby Ray looks like he's saying, "What's going on over there?"

Mia is such a good big sister, and such a good big cousin too!

Jayden was out at the park playing with his Daddy and some of the neighborhood boys, but I snapped this picture of him earlier in the day (much to his dismay, he does not like having his picture taken anymore!):
New hair cut!

'Hope everyone enjoys the rest of the week, and in case I don't get back here before the weekend ~ HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY!

  1. Oh no, there is nothing same old same old about your life! Not with these grandbabies of yours growing and changing. They sure all look alike too. The look more like siblings than cousins. And their Irish outfits are so darling. Where ever did you find them?

  2. When all those little ones start talking, it's going to be even more fun at your house, Eileen. From Jayden on down to Ray, they are same age difference as my first 5 were...except mine were boy, girl, boy, boy girl...then it was a boy, boy, boy and finally a girl again. Boys do seem to shy away from the camera at a certain age. I can remember so many of Jayden's cute poses with Mia! It's been nice seeing them grow and the others coming along. Our second granddaughter's wedding is Friday. They grow up very quickly!

  3. I love to do puzzles as well and I haven't done one in sooo long! I can't believe how your family has grown over the past couple of years since we have been blogging! It just seems like yesterday when Mia was just 2 and Jayden was the center of your life sooo long! His eyes are still so amazingly beautiful. OH YEAH he is going to be the heart throb of many young lady! hehehe you have your hands full with this one my friend lol. Isn't it funny how he use to love his pic taken and now....not so much. I just can't believe how quickly the time has gone by! PS your grandies are beautiful my friend! So glad life is same old same old. That is always a good thing! hugs...

  4. OH MY GOSH! I know you're not supposed to say this about boys, but Jayden has the most beautiful eyes! Oh Eileen, he sees so "deeply" and so "clearly". It was as if his gaze pierced my soul!

  5. That puzzle is really, REALLY cool, Eileen! They are addicting - and we had to use the magnifying glass on the one we finished a few months ago, too!

I can't tell you how precious those green outfits are! And Jaden - growing up & looking quite dapper.

  6. I don't believe this!! I am on my second puzzle in two weeks! They are addicting aren't they? I go to it when I have a little down time which hasn't been much at all lately. And can only work on them during the daytime as my eyesight seems to fade at night. I just got new glasses but they said I have the beginnings of Cataracts. So we will have to watch that in the future.
Your babies are so cute Eileen. Magazine cute!! They should be in magazines. I wonder, did Jayden try to help with the puzzle? Love Di ♥
