This is a picture of Ray's brother Donald taken when he was about Eóghan's age ~ notice the rash on the cheeks!
And here is Eóghan ~ poor baby with that horrible rash!
And, here through the magic of editing, are both Donald and Eóghan, side-by-side ~ the resemblance is uncanny ~ rash and all!
Sometimes living life in a big family does feel like a three-ring circus, but that's my life, and, all-in-all, I LOVE IT!

Contrasting Male And Female Responses
Sometimes I am at a loss to understand the male sense of humor:
While singing Happy Birthday to Ray (way back in March ~ that's how behind I am in posting!), Ray's brother Donald was being, well, he was being Donald, and he was singing very loud, and very off-key, and out of sync with everyone else.
Jayden found this very amusing and seemed pleased with Uncle Donald's antics while Mia seemed somewhat confused and...
...she was anything BUT pleased and amused, and look at Sophie, she looks as if she is thinking, "What is going on here? I don't think I like this very much", and in fact, she was so perturbed that she started crying after this photo was taken:
The guys all thought it was just the funniest thing, contrast that with the women who were all saying, "Stop now! Stop it!"

Look Who Made The Front Page Of The Courier!
While we were watching the Memorial Day Parade in town a photographer from our town newspaper came by and asked if he could take a picture of Mia and Jayden.
That photo ended up on the Front Page!

Out Of The Mouth Of Babes...
(Let me preface this little story by admitting I have been a "Negative Nellie" and I have been a foul ball for months now.
I've been foul-tempered, foul-mouthed, obnoxiously foul, disagreeably foul, and all around unpleasantly foul. This is just one of my many "I'm ashamed to admit I've done this foul thing" episodes. )
One day about a month or so ago I was moving furniture around the house, moving and repurposing things here and there. Jayden was home from school and he really is a big help to me but this particular day Eóghan was acting up so Jayden was using his talents to occupy the baby, which freed me up to clean and rearrange things.
Well, I was moving a big, big chair from the back room to the living room and I somehow got it wedged where it would not budge at all, no matter which way I twisted and turned I just seemed to make matters worse. Finally I was so frustrated that I started yelling at the chair and calling it bad names (yes, sick I know, but that's what happened). Jayden came over and said to me, "Umma, just do what you did when you were trying to move the dresser downstairs, just say, 'God, please help me', and, remember when you said that, He did help you. Remember?"
Well, I just collapsed into the chair and hugged him to me, I told him he was right and I apologized for acting the way I did. I said to him that I should never have gotten so angry over such a silly thing, and I said I was sorry he had to see that, and I said that it was so wrong of me.
And then Jayden, who is all of seven years old, said, "Yeah, that was nothing to be upset about. It's not like you're hanging on a cross and suffering like Jesus did for us."

Back With A Fervor...Well, Not Quite
I am thankful for all the Blessings in my life, and I do want to "journal" precious moments here on my blog, but I'm having a lack of passion for blogging. I'm sure it's all due to family discord. Some of which is out of my control, and some of which I contributed to.
I'm resolved to concentrating on the positive though, so I hope to be posting in the near future. Raymond and I have had some wonderful family moments, and we've had so many happy occasions to celebrate these past few months, and so many more celebrations coming in the next few weeks that I'm looking forward to, so I'll most likely be deluging this blog with posts and photos soon. If I can just work up a little enthusiasm.
Thanks to all of you who have messaged me on Facebook, or left comments and words of encouragement. You are all so kind.

Happy Birthday, Mia!
Mia turns five today! We've already had a big family celebration on Easter Sunday for both Mia & Sophie at our house, and this evening I get to celebrate with her again at her home. (Ray has to miss it as he's heading out to Denver for work ~ I'm wearing a very sad face here).
I have enjoyed every minute spent with the 'Birthday Girl' from the moment I first laid eyes on her:
('Still haven't been posting or visiting ~ 'still crazy/busy. Jayden's been suffering with his allergies/asthma already this season due to the mild weather and everything blooming early. He was off school all week for Easter break, and he was supposed to go back today but he's home here suffering with watery eyes, drippy nose, and breathing problems. 'Lots of other things going on here too and I hope to post about some of it soon. And I hope to catch up with everyone soon too. 'Hope all is well with everyone.)

Later today we'll be going to Erik & Lori's for a celebration party and I'm sure I'll have more pictures to share!
I've been busy and away from blogging and visiting, and I hope to catch up with everyone next week. I've missed everyone and I've missed reading about your lives. And I thank all of you who have left comments on my blogs and on Facebook. You're all so kind.
I was in the city on St. Patrick's Day with my friend Barbara, we had so much fun and I'll share about that in a post soon. Also, I was petrified scared this week because Barbara was having a problem with her heart and needed to go in for a procedure where they 'shocked' her heart into a normal rhythm. She called me yesterday and she is doing very well! So I'm breathing again!
And we celebrated Ray's Birthday on March 18th, and I'll post about that along with St. Pat's Day.
AND we celebrated Baby Ray's Baptism last Sunday, so I hope to post about that soon too! And next week we're all getting together for Easter Sunday dinner and a combined Birthday party at our house for both Sophie and Mia with extended family. I'm looking forward to it!
'Hope you are all doing well! 'See' you soon!
